What does Gavin de Becker have to say about listening to external judgments instead of listening to our intuition? When women are more concerned with being perceived as a bigot than listening to their own safety, it puts them in danger.
I do not care if randos on the internet think I am a bigot, I care about listening to my own intuition and safeguarding instincts. It is not my responsibility to bother about how people may judge me, my responsibility is to my own safety and how fast I can respond to my own self-protective instincts for survival. All men are men. I refuse to engage in linguistic ploys that distance me from my own direct sense perceptions of reality. And it is my job to encourage every woman to do the same, for her own safety and for the safety of her children. I do not care about being "nice" I care about protecting myself from danger. …...more
