Thistle speaks with Christy Hammer about Trump politics

Join Thistle in the lovely downtown WLRN studios as she welcomes Ms. Christy Hammer, a Sociology professor, and sex realist, to WLRN's airwaves. The two will discuss the impact Trump politics and culture is having on the American women's movement, Title IX, and much more! Christy Hammer is a sociology, education, and women and gender studies professor with 40 years experience who was canceled over a single claim of sex realism. Two years and three investigations later, she was vindicated by the Maine Human Rights Commission that "two sexes with variation" was not discriminatory, sex realism is a valid point of view, and teachers need to discuss controversial issues in their classes. As a long time DEI and Title IX specialist, she is now critical of both, particularly how DEI veered into the policing of thought over behavior in schools, and now gender ideology has captured K-16 schools to the detriment of all. Professor Hammer was punished for a few, unintentional misgenderings of this student, but rejected taking yet another Safe Zone training, since she had co-taught such equity trainings in years' past. #WLRN #feminist #TitleIX #Trump #USA
